My Dogs

It is a known fact that I love animals. I have very often told people that my dogs would be a priority over them and I easily get swept into a research sessions about animals at any point of the day - unprompted. People also often ask me what it is that makes me love animals so much. I mean, what's not to love? They are gentle, fascinating creatures. Their behaviours, their way of life, their way of communicating, how they can be so different if they are raised in a certain way - and ofcourse how gorgeous they are. Woof. Woof is the eldest dog I know. She has had 2 litters of puppies out of which 3 puppies survived. She used to be scared of humans for the longest time because she wasnt treated well as a puppy. Slowly but steadily we developed a level of trust with her and now she will shyly wag her tail and come over and give us her paw. She is the most gentle dog I know and will start wagging her tail as soon as she hears my voice. The smallest noise can scare her but she will always come to us and that level of trust is amazing. Rocky. Rocky is one of woof's daughters. Rocky is our quiet dog. She is always off in her own world and will seldom come to us when we are there to meet them. But she is the first (and only) pup that we were able to teach how to give a paw to. Whenever she does come to us, she immediately lays on her stomach for belly rubs. When you stop petting her, she will gently place her hand on your leg and ask for more pets. Peeta. Peeta came into the society randomly and I am so glad he did. That dog is the most rowdy sweetheart ever. I love him to bits. He is possessive when we ever meet some other dogs who are not one of these dogs and will try to bite that dog off if he must to save us. He knows where we go and always leads the way. He knows which building to stop at, which area he can start running from (yes I have races with my dog sue me). He never let's us go alone even if he was sleeping two minutes before that. Horsie. Horsie got her name because of how she runs -she prances like a horse. She is always excited to see us and always headbutts us so she can get more pets. She is a quiet dog but as soon as she sees us the speed with which she runs is something worth seeing. She is our sweet crazy girl. Oreo is our little baby. She is rocky's baby. Oreo is the life of a party and is the most enthusiastic dog of them all. She will jump towards you and then jump of you. Once you sit down, she will proceed to lick your hand, your face and wherever she can reach. She always follows peeta around and those two are always play fighting. Whenever she sees us enter the badminton court, she will find a new entrance to come in from just to get more attention. She will stick her head in and look at us with her puppy dog eyes or just proceed to come in and scare a bunch of people. Despite this, Oreo can do no wrong in our eyes. People dont understand how I am obsessed with my dogs the way I am. Let me explain that to you. Since they will never understand the words I have for them, I may as well put it down for someone who will.

See you soon,

Jordyn!
